TABITHA MURPHY

TIDES
Started in 2019 by Alaskan local Tabi Villanueva, Tides aims to educate society about the Tlingit tribe of Southeast, Alaska through the medium of clothing. Tlingit is translated into “People of the Tides,” which Villanueva wanted to encapsulate into her designs. Simply put Tides is the essence of being a powerful woman, the art of being balanced in a changing world, and the spirit of the Tlingit tribe. Elements of Tlingit culture can be seen in an adapted style of line design, as well as the motif of animals in the prints.

DEAD STOCK LINGERIE
Using high end fabric scraps I designed, drafted, and sewed a bralette for a friend's bachelorette party.
